Great skills shown by Kahu youth

This week the Wanaka Community Workshop hosted members of the “Grounded Team” of Kahu Youth.

The team are using the Workshop to build new infrastructure for Mt Aspiring College.

The new build takes the form of two recycling bases. Each base will be capable of holding three wheelie bins providing for the separation of rubbish.

The design was complete and all the members of MenShed Team had to do was help with some cutting and moving the heavier bits about.

The skills shown by Kahu Youth was great to experience.

The project is now well on its way. We are looking forward to working with Kahu Youth into the future to create some real change in our community.
